In QuickBooks Desktop, when creating a journal entry, there is a checkbox to mark the entry as an adjustment. QuickBooks Online also has this option. In QuickBooks Desktop, reports can be filtered to show only adjusting entries, exclude adjusting entries, or include both.
Can this reporting filter be added to QuickBooks Online? It is a key feature for my clients, as it allows them to view accurate reports without needing to export data to Excel and manually adjust the numbers.
We use this feature for the accountant to enter adjusting entries while preparing tax returns so the books match accordingly. At the same time, the company owner prefers to view reports without these accountant entries. This filter would allow both needs to be met directly within QuickBooks Online.
