Custom Reports grouping

When adding custom reports grouping and sharing the reports with team members, the "group" doesn't carry over to others. The reports just show up in one whole list, but not as the groups they should be in.

Unable to save a Custom report to an existing Custom Report Group

"NEW" Save to custom report group" feature does not appear to be working. (QBO Advanced) I created a new report group and successfully moved some existing Custom reports from the old group to the new group. Then I created a new Custom report and tried to save it to my old report group (I did rename the old group), but NO existing report groups showed up for me to choose from--neither my old group, nor my new group were options. I even had the little "New" tag on the option to save my new custom report to a report group, but the ONLY option it gave me was to ADD a completely new group. I'm creating a lot of new custom reports, and trying to keep my old/new versions straight and this is causing clutter and confusion in my custom reports listing.

Hi Joyce Saena
I checked internally with the team to better understand this behavior.
When a user shares a report within a group, only the report itself is intentionally shared—not the group. The reason for this is that the report owner may later change the group assignment for that report. Since report group creation and edits are managed at an individual user level, those changes would not reflect for other users.
This same behavior also exists for Classic reports.
Once all custom reports are fully migrated to the Modern view and we have a more unified experience, we plan to revisit this area and explore a more holistic solution for group sharing. For now, we are keeping this item in the backlog.
We appreciate your understanding as we work toward a more consistent experience.

Currently, this behavior is expected. Classic reports are saved under the “Classic” group, and modern reports are saved under their respective modern groups.
We will be migrating all existing custom Classic reports. After April 15th, customers will be able to save modern reports in any group.

This is still an issue as I've created groups for modern reports that are shared with other team members, but when they go into their custom reports, it doesn't show up in the groups that I've created on my end still. :(

Joyce Saena We have made few changes to custom reports grouping. Could you please check again and let me know if the issue still persists for you.
