Open drill-down from reports in a separate window

In modern reports, I see that when you drill on a line item from a report like the P&L or BS, QBO opens the detail screen on the same screen/window as the report. You can't see the report again, unless you click "back to summary report." It would be 10,000% better if it opened the detail page in a separate window. I use RightTool, and on the old reports, when you clicked on a line item, RightTools would open it in a separate window, but for whatever reason, RightTool won't do that with modern reports. I have to take that up with RightTool, but for those who don't use the extension, it would be very helpful to have the detail open in a new tab. If the detail stays in its own window, you can go back to it and change the account or dates without messing up the summary report, as it is in a separate window.

Good news - the ability to open a drill-down report in a new tab or separate window is already available in Modern view. Here's how to do it:
- Hover over any financial figure in the report.
- Right-click on the number.
- A context menu will appear with the following options:
- Open in a new tab
- Open in a new window
- Copy the link
Simply select the option that works best for you, and the drill-down report will open accordingly.

Hope that helps!
