Sizing & Scrolling Inconsistency Affects Accessibility

Intuit developers are not consistent in their handling of menu, report, or list sizes and the ability to scroll.
Those of us who need to implement changes in system screen sizes, text sizing, or other accessibility features are diminished in our ability to work effectively.
E.G.,
- Modern Reports display never fills the screen as the Classic version does. I'm constantly scrolling left and right to see the last 15% of the report.
- Hovering the Bookmark icon shows only the first few of the bookmarks with no ability to scroll down or up. I either have to remove items from the Bookmarks or find alternative ways to access them.
Why hasn't Intuit developed a set of standards that all of its developers must adhere to?

We heard you loud and clear — scrolling in Modern Reports was one of the most painful day-to-day frustrations. Here's what's now live in production:
- Page-level scrolling restored
Earlier, users couldn't scroll at the page level when working in Modern Reports — the entire page felt locked, forcing awkward inline scrolling within report containers. We've now fixed page-level scroll behavior so the report page scrolls naturally like any other QBO surface. Side panels, customization drawers, and the report table now coexist without trapping the scroll inside one container.
- Sticky column headers when scrolling down
On long reports (GL, Transaction Detail, P&L Detail), the column headers (Date, Memo, Account, Amount, Balance) now stay pinned to the top of the table as you scroll down. No more scrolling back up to remember which column you're looking at.
- Horizontal scroll now visible on wider reports
On wide reports (P&L by Class, multi-column comparisons, Balance Sheet by Location), the horizontal scrollbar was hidden or hard to find — users didn't realize there was more data to the right. The horizontal scroll indicator is now visible by default on wider reports.
- Horizontal scrollbar no longer obscures the Net Income row
On multi-column P&L reports, the horizontal scrollbar was overlapping and hiding the Net Income row — the most important summary line on the report. As of May 9, the horizontal scrollbar now sits below the last row, and is visible without having to scroll to the bottom of the page first.
Note: On Mac, always-on scrollbar visibility is partially governed by the user's system setting (System Settings → Appearance → Show scroll bars). We've pushed visibility as far as cross-browser support allows and are continuing to investigate forcing it on regardless of OS setting.
- Scrolling fixed in the Customize panel
The Customize side panel in Modern View previously had a broken scroll — long customization lists couldn't be navigated. Now fully scrollable.
