Wasted Column Heading Space

Not sure if someone else complained about this
If I'm using Month, this month, last month or similar periods you are wasting space (in my opinion)
Here is what is in Modern Reports, you don't need date range if you are picking the period type
Vs
Classic show this
If you do Last Quarter you know it from the Header, month only will be sufficient, again Classic vs Modern

We’ve made an update to improve the readability and consistency of date headers in modern financial reports.
What’s improved
- Date headers now use abbreviated formats (e.g., APR 2025) similar to the classic view
- Column widths are more uniform, reducing visual clutter and improving readability
- These improvements are also reflected in print and export formats
You’ll experience a cleaner, more consistent layout when working with financial reports in the modern view - making it easier to scan, compare, and analyze your data.

Report Headers Kind of Gross

The headers do not list the company name, and the distribution of header columns causes all sorts of weird formatting. Balance sheer really doesnt need to say "As of January 31st, 2026". The date is more than enough.
"Distribution account" also looks weird. Feels like it should be the next row down.

Distribution Account and Total headers are not necessary at all. They don't line up with anything, they don't explain anything that's not already apparent, and they just waste a ton of space. It's like they randomly appeared from somewhere else. Just take out that row completely and things will be fine.

Period Headers cause column variances
Chris Macksey
If the report period in the header is listed, adding the year to the column is redundant. Additionally, I dont know that we need to spell out the entire month. Jan/Feb/Mar should be fine and will save space.

In addition, this UI is bad. One would assume the vertical line is where you would adjust the column width, but you have to move the down a line to get to it
