We are constantly having to fix sales tax rates manually and then reconcile 2 times as we cannot put the fix directly in the liability accounts that show up on the sales tax liability report but have to create our own.
For instance, the address for this calculation is actually in Douglas County (1%), not Arapahoe County (.25%), is missing RTD tax of 1% and is outside of the city limits so should not have Englewood City tax added. The correct tax for this specific address is 5%. I can override this but it won't show up in the liability report properly so that I can easily pay state, county and city taxes on the various revenue websites. The first screenshot is QBO, the 2nd is from the State of Colorado website
Sure, I could create custom rates, but the nature of this business is all over the state of Colorado, rarely in the same place twice, and is also in 4 other states. We would literally have thousands of custom rates by the end of the year.
